SUMMER 2027 IS FILLING UP!! There's one week in July and three in August available. (May and June are totally booked already).

This morning, August 2027 was opened up for reservations and one week has already been grabbed!!

Don't delay! If you'd like to stay at Serenity in 2027 look at this now! When July reservations opened those three weeks were all snagged within three calendar days!

ALL RESERVATIONS are handled through Thomas Beach Vacations. Please do not comment here asking to book or for rates. Below is the direct link to the online reservation system. Just type in the dates and it will quote you the price (that is set by the property management company).

Renter information - This post will be a compilation of important information for renters. If you stay at Serenity and think of items that should be added, please let me know!

**Garbage Collection - During the summer, household garbage is collected on Friday and Monday mornings. Please place garbage cans on the curb the night before (Thursday and Sunday) because the trucks come early!

** AC - Please keep the windows and doors closed so the AC units don't break trying to keep up.

** Elevator - Please keep the accordion door closed at all times so that it is easy to call to the floor you need. The outside elevator door can be a little tricky. You may find it easier to enter the elevator inside and ride it down.

** Please rinse off all sand before getting in the pool. There's a spigot and hose near the back stairs. There's also an outdoor shower.

** Please rinse off the beach chairs before returning them to the storage room.

** Extra bedding for pull out sofas - downstairs the pillows and blankets should be in the primary bedroom closet. Upstairs you'll find it in the cabinet under the tv in the loft area.

** Enjoy the puzzles, games, and books in the two cabinets (dining area and upstairs bedroom).

** Locking the back doors - Both doors will open and there's a specific way to close them and make sure they are locked in place. First, close the right door and lift the door handle until you feel the locking pin engage. Then close the left door and repeat the handle lift. If the right door locking pin isn't fully engaged, the doors will open by themselves and stay open until someone notices. 😳

Before Serenity, there was another house. This home was built prior to this photo that was taken in 1950 (I don't know exactly which year). This is what the house looked like until Hurricane Hazel hit in 1954.

Notice to future renters! ❤️

Eek! Our first renters arrive tomorrow!! I’m super nervous. I hope everyone loves and takes care of Serenity! We’ve worked really hard to make this a wonderful vacation home for you.

A couple of things- there’s a new ‘shell garden’ by the pool. These were my mom’s shells. Enjoy looking at them but please don’t step on them or break them. Feel free to add shells you find on the beach.

Also, the wood paneling in the front den has a story. My mom had those boards pulled out of the original home from the property so she could honor the history that came before her. I’ll provide more details in a future post.
