The last little tree fell over last night. With no roots of their own and a washed-out tree from which it was sprouted, the last spruce succumbed to the almost 60 mph wind last night.

Here are some photos of the downed trees. As you can see in one photo, the roots eroded and the tree fell over.
There was also erosion on the path down to the beach from the cabin.
This morning Walt said "I have seen those trees grow up and fall over three times."
You can see there is one tree already working on the growing up.

For those familiar with the shoreline in front of the cabin, the last large spruce came down in yesterday's storm.
There will now be one valiant 3' spruce on the edge of the field.
Cabin and outhouse are ok!
The high tide and storm surge came 6' into the field in front of the cabin, depositing debris and flotsam to mark it's highpoint.
And, all the vegetation was skimmed off half of the bar at the MCHT Loring Cove preserve next door, meaning the bar was under water!
Big doings in our little part of the world.

Hi Friends and Fans of Loring Point Rustic Housekeeping Cabin on Passamaquoddy Bay.
About 7 weeks ago, for reasons other than the current virus, we decided to not rent out the cabin this summer season of 2020.
If you do go someplace in the near future, please arrive with all the food and supplies you will need for the first two weeks, and self isolate.
The local folks will thank you.
