Cutest place for a sweet treat! Minutes from the guesthouse!

Just across the street from the infamous Helvetia Tavern, a short driveway leads to one of Helvetia’s most enchanting little stops— Station!
Stop in for a cup of coffee, homemade baked goods, cookies, pies, a little neighborhood gossip—and perhaps the only One-Dog Petting Zoo this side of the Mississippi! 🐶☕🥧
Bring the kids, pull up a chair, and sit a spell. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why small, local gathering spots are so special.
And be sure to say “Howdy!” to Victoria!

Just a short turn off Highway 26, between Portland and the Oregon Coast, is a small community that’s worth slowing down for.

Spend a few hours exploring North Plains and the surrounding countryside. Grab a bite at a local restaurant or food cart, browse a vintage or secondhand shop, visit a farm market, stop by a nearby winery, or make a fall trip to one of the area’s pumpkin patches.

You’ll find open farmland, local businesses, friendly people and a little bit of country life—all surprisingly close to Portland.

So the next time you’re heading down Highway 26—or just looking for something different to do on a weekend—take the North Plains exit and see what you discover.

What a wonderful place to visit and ride horses about 20 minutes from the guesthouse! It’s a beautiful peaceful place and horses! Can’t get better than that!
