We have been notified that the North Country ATV has received a very valuable Grant from Yamaha called the "Yamaha OHV Access Initiative" , for ATV trail maintenance and development. This grant is for the sum of $10,000 and will be put to use to upgrade one of our premier trails to Cree Notch Lookout and Picnic area in Columbia, NH. We are very glad that the folks at Yamaha fully appreciated the efforts of a volunteer group that actually provide riding oportunities for thousands of riders to come here to enjoy.

Here is a thought for the day. Not original and reused from a famous person I admire. "There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don't care who gets the credit.”

A few of us went out looking at trails the past couple of days and found that riders are leaving ruts. Guess they either don't look behind them or just don't care.
As much as we would like to just leave the Temperature Ban on and tell folks that they can only ride when trails are frozen, it doesn't seem to work with some riders.
Therefore we closed ALL TRAILS yesterday and will be watching to see if there are any violators. PLEASE be respectful and stay off all trails until we announce reopening.

We allowed our website to expire and no longer have a website or domain name. In the time we allowed the site to expire, it has been infiltrated by an Asian group and an inappropriate page that we have nothing to do with. I am told there is nothing we can do about it. Therefore there is no more """"""grandolelodge, com""""

We need some new friends. Friends that can help with cookouts, or newsletters, or website expertise, or trail maintenance. None of these are rocket science just takes a little time and caring. Our next club meeting is Wed. June 3rd at 6:30pm. Our 4th of July Parade and Rodeo Event is coming right up and we need some good people interested in helping.

The North Country ATV trail system will not be open this weekend as scheduled by request of the Trails Bureau. There are a few trail permissions that have not been acquired at this point and more signage needs to be done. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes however it may be what is best for getting these permissions in order and also allowing the trails to dry up a little more. Hopefully we will be opening on the 23rd.

Please refrain from using atvs on the snowmobile trails this weekend due to mild temps which are GOING TO SOFTEN UP THE GROOMED TRAILS.

Trail Advisory....With the temps getting below freezing at night it makes for great early morning riding for atvs. However be aware that with the powerful sun coming out that wheeled vehicles have no business on snowmobile trails in the warm afternoon.
