This beautiful Luna moth visited one of our rooms this morning. It is recognizable by its pale green color and long, trailing tails on the hindwings.Adult Luna moths do not have mouths or functional digestive systems and do not eat; their sole purpose is to mate and reproduce.They have a very short lifespan as adults, typically living for only about seven days.The large eyespots on their wings are designed to resemble moons and confuse predators.
