Norwich University Fins and Feathers Fishing and hunting fundraiser to support Norwich University. Events have been defined as Fins (fishing gatherings) or Feathers (hunts).

The Norwich University Fins & Feathers was informally established with a single boat in 2014 by several alumni with a passion for fishing. Now it has grown into a multiple event and multi-region sportsman’s gathering that encourages participants to foster an appreciation for friendship, camaraderie, and our Norwich Values. It provides a gathering alternative for friends of Norwich that do not golf. All proceed from Fins & Feathers events go to the area of greatest need at Norwich University.

Homecoming, camaraderie, and honoring a legacy.

This year’s Fins & Feathers Block Party brought together Cadets, alumni, friends, and family for a day of drinks, ci**rs, stories, and the kind of camaraderie that makes the Norwich community so special.

This year, we also made it a point to honor Dan Evans ‘87 (Busta), whose love for fishing, friendship, Fins and Norwich left a lasting mark on this community. His spirit was felt throughout the day, in every story shared, every laugh, and every glass raised in his honor.

Hook ’Em Dano. Forever part of the Fins & Feathers family. ❤️

All the members and participants of fins and feathers events are heartbroken. Danny truly represented the best of all of us. His unwavering kindness and generosity will never be forgotten and his unforgettable smile will bring us joy every time we think of “Busta”.

Rest in peace Dan, for you are a true legend.

“He found peace where the water meets the sky, gone to a place where the fish always bite.”
