For those who haven't heard the news yet, I wanted to share it officially.

Bissit Bay Fish Camp is now officially Permenantly Closed.

This has been one of the hardest things my family and I have ever had to work through. It wasn't a decision that came easily, and it certainly wasn't the outcome we hoped for. Sometimes life and family circumstances lead you down roads you never expected, and this has been one of those times.

It's truly the end of an amazing era.

The good news is this isn't goodbye from me. RiverWitch Kayak Rentals & Tours isn't going anywhere. I'll simply be moving the kayak business next door, and I'll still be out on the lagoon doing what I love.

And if losing the campground suddenly has you feeling the urge to go fishing... well... I just happen to know someone who rents fishing kayaks. 😉🎣

Thank you to everyone who has supported Bissit Bay Fish Camp over the years. Your memories, stories, and friendships have meant more than you know. While this chapter is ending, I hope you'll continue making new memories with me out on the water.

There are fishing stories... and then there are fishing memories that you'll be talking about for years.

Today at Bissit Bay Fish Camp, one very excited angler landed an absolute monster red drum right off the dock! The smile said it all. That mix of excitement, disbelief, and pure adrenaline is exactly why so many people love fishing these waters.

Congratulations on an incredible catch! Thanks for letting us celebrate the excitement with you. 🎉 And thanks for sharing your memories of fishing off our dock since childhood!
