We have been busy at Temporary Sanity during these cold months. If you have been here before, you may remember the large bedroom upstairs that we call "The White Room". We have more grandbabies in our family now, so we needed more beds. We have divided the white bedroom into two rooms. One has a queen bed with a closing pocket door. The other has four new bunk beds. Each bunk has it's own storage shelf, rechargeable reading light and mini fan, plus a power outlet with two regular plugs and two USB plugs for your children's devices. On top of that, we have updated the hall bathroom with new flooring, tub, tile surround and new vanity! We hope you enjoy these changes and we hope to see you in 2025!

Please check the beach conditions before you enter the water each day. We still have advisories from the recent storm. Seas are rough and water quality has not been cleared for swimming as of this morning. A paddle board is just something that floats, blows in the wind and is pushed by the waves. We have been busy getting ready for guest this year. One thing we have struggled with is continuing to welcome pets. We love pets. We have pets. That said, we have had issues with pets allowed on furniture and in beds. Pets using the pool area as a dog run. Piles of 💩 everywhere, even in the pool area. Gobs of pet hair causing extra housekeeping fees.

We are trying some gentle reminders this season to hopefully help guests be considerate of future guests by cleaning up after themselves and their pets. We will see how things go and look forward to welcoming families, and their pets, to our Temporary Sanity!

The next time you visit Temporary Sanity, do not be surprised when you look for a yellow house and find a blue one! We have new Hardie siding, new paint, new vinyl wraps, a new roof, new exterior lighting and Haint Blue porches. We are working on quotes for a couple of small interior upgrades, but more on that once plans are finalized. We hope you enjoy your time in our little corner of paradise this year.
