Here’s the latest fishing report from Captain Ron Mullins…
“The transition is happening.
Water temperatures are pushing toward 80 degrees, and the fish have made a clear move deeper. If you're still fishing the same way you were a few weeks ago, it's time to adjust.
The biggest change this week is that the shallow bite has faded and the action is now concentrated around deeper creek channels and main lake structure. Fish are moving quickly, not staying grouped up for long, and the anglers finding success are staying mobile and paying close attention to their electronics.
A few things to keep in mind this week:
• Water temperatures continue to climb
• Fish have shifted into deeper summer patterns
• Groups of fish are moving fast and won't stay in one place long
• When you find fish, be ready to capitalize on the opportunity
• Mobility is becoming more important every week
The biggest mistake anglers can make right now is fishing where the fish were last week instead of where they are today.”
