Or… Relax and unwind, watch nature’s critters and their newborns from the porch… a great place to birdwatch. OR… Sit on the covered patio and listen to the rain hit the “tin” roof.

🔥 BURN BAN EXTENDED 🔥

Yes, we got rain. NO you still can’t burn!
Our County remains in extreme drought conditions and The National Weather Service has issued Fire Weather Watches for this week.

The burn ban in unincorporated Putnam County, Town of Interlachen and Town of Pomona Park has been extended until May 12th 2026. Conditions will be reevaluated after such date.

Remember, no burning is allowed aside from cooking fires in contained grills or cooking appliances. Also, be mindful of vehicle exhaust and dispose of ci******es properly.

An annual tradition…

On April 25th in Palatka, Florida...the Bostwick Blueberry Festival takes place and always makes for one of the Sunshine State's best small-town events during the spring season! Now in its 27th year, this long-running celebration is held at the Bostwick Community Center at 125 Tillman Street and runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., drawing large crowds from all over the area. The morning kicks off with a blueberry pancake breakfast served from 8:00 a.m. until noon, a favorite part of the day for many. Throughout the grounds, you’ll find fresh-picked Miller blueberries along with homemade pies, muffins, blueberry ice cream, and plenty of other sweet treats. There are also arts and crafts vendors set up, plant sales, a used-book sale, and pet adoptions happening during the event. Kids can spend time in bounce houses and activity areas while live music plays across the festival. Be sure to catch the Mr. and Miss Blueberry contest, pick up some festival merchandise, and enjoy the easygoing country setting that brings people back year after year!
