Another Potluck event for the books!

Our Salads Gone Wild! event was attended by 21 people this evening. Not too shabby. Lots of tasty salads and desserts. 50/50 drawing was for $20. Thank you all who attended. 😊

REMINDER... If you are hot, so is your fur baby!

•Please walk them early in the morning and later in the afternoon so you both aren't out during peak heat hours.

•Keep plenty of water available in a bowl. Smaller/ older animals can get dehydrated quickly. Try putting a few ice cubes in their water bowl. Just don't let a panting dog gulp ice water or it can cause bloating.

•Be mindful of ground temperatures. Check pavement before they walk on it. If you can keep your bare balm or foot on the ground for 7 seconds, it's cool enough for animals to walk on.

•Relax and take it easy together. Stay cool and shaded outdoors. Better to stay cool indoors.

LASTLY, NEVER LEAVE A PET IN A HOT CAR. NOT WITH WINDOWS VENTED. NOT FOR A MINUTE.

This week at Golden Pond Village...

Wed. evening, 5pm, GH - Salads Gone Wild Potluck. Come to the air conditioned GH clubhouse for a cool, refreshing Potluck dinner. Please bring a salad to share.... pasta salad, potato salad, jello salad... any salad you want! 50/50 drawing available.

CALENDAR UPDATE:

The Good Humor Gals ice cream sales will be at the GH clubhouse this Friday, 6/5, at 6pm and then at the GB clubhouse at 6:30. We'll also have ice cream at Bingo on Thur. night at the break. $1 each

Happy June everyone! We have a few events scheduled as summer gets started ☀️⛈️🌤🌩...

Please note the 'Good Humor Gals' events are when Liz and Terri drive around selling ice cream. We are also selling ice cream at Bingo on Thursday nights. All ice cream is $1.

Still craving more ice cream? Then come to the Build Your Own Ice Cream Sundae event on the 21st! Only $2.

We are also having a Salads Gone Wild Potluck where we ask people to bring whatever salad they choose...potato, pasta, chef... whatever you like!

There's also a pour paint craft event with Bill Robinson on the 17th. This event is FREE (donations accepted). *All cooking classes have been canceled until Fall in hopes of larger attendance once our snowbird friends return.

Paper calendars are available at either clubhouse, the bathhouse in the RV park, and near both postal boxes. Flyers with event info are posted at both clubhouses and at the management office.
