And so it begins… One by one our amazing staff begin to pack their bags, take one last walk to the ferry and head back to college, home or whatever comes next. They are truly the heart and soul of The Palms Hotel. The smiles behind the front desk, the muscle behind the luggage carts, the problem solvers, the memory makers, and the occasional reason we need an extra cup of coffee. We are not quite ready to say goodbye, but we are incredibly grateful for every one of them. The hotel won’t be the same without them. Safe travels, make us proud and don’t forget where your summer home is! ♥️

We thought our guests were checking in for a beach getaway. Turns out they were looking for courtside seats. When they asked for a watch party for the Knick game, we turned the courtyard into a sports bar! 🏀 palmshotelfireisland

Memorial Day weekend may have started a little wetter than we had hoped, but our amazing guest didn’t let the weather damp their spirits. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who brave the rain and kicked off the season with us. We loved welcoming you back to Fire Island and appreciate the support more than you know. ❤️ We were lucky enough to get an amazing sunset before the holiday ended. And now… the sun is back! ☀️ To celebrate we are extending our opening day special for ONE MORE WEEK. Book one night midweek Sunday through Thursday in June or September and get 50% off the second night. Or book 2 nights mid week Sunday through Thursday in June or September and get the third night on us. The sun is shining, the beach is calling and our season is officially underway. Big News! The Taste of Ocean Beach is back for a 4th year!

The event is Saturday, May 30, and registration on Eventbrite begins May 3 at 12:30 p.m. Tickets will sell out quickly! All food service establishments in OB will be participating. Enjoy a small plate at each spot, with cocktails at those that serve them. $100 per person. Presented by the Ocean Beach Community Fund. Can’t wait to get this season started! ☀️
