Travel Advisory: Ocean City Air Show Weekend- June 12-14, 2026

The O.C. Air Show is returning to the Town of Ocean City on Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, 2026. Residents and visitors should expect heavy traffic, limited parking, and street closures throughout the weekend. Here is what to expect:

Street Closures

Set-up for displays, ground exhibits, and reserved areas will begin Friday, June 12, 2026, from 12th Street to 20th Street. Portions of these streets will be closed and barricaded through Sunday, June 14, 2026, with 15th Street and 17th Street remaining closed until approximately noon on Monday, June 15th. The City Hall parking lot at 301 Baltimore Avenue will be closed to the public starting Friday, June 12, at 7 a.m. Only authorized personnel and vehicles will be allowed entry.

Parking Information

Parking will be limited, particularly on Saturday, and many private lots may adjust pricing based on demand. The Town of Ocean City offers paid municipal parking at the following locations:

• Worcester St., between Baltimore Ave. & Philadelphia Ave.
• Somerset St. & Baltimore Ave.
• Dorchester St. & Baltimore Ave.
• N. Division St. & Baltimore Ave.
• N. Division St. & St. Louis Ave. (small lot)
• 4th St. & Baltimore Ave.

Due to nearby closures, on-street parking will be extremely limited near the event site. In addition, the Town of Ocean City has enacted Resolution 2025-10, which designates specific dates for enhanced paid parking rates and penalties during special events. These measures will be in effect from June 13-14, 2026, to help manage the increased number of visitors and support public safety. Enhanced penalties will apply to vehicles parked in prohibited areas, including no-parking zones, red curbs, fire lanes, near fire hydrants, and on sidewalks.

Public Transportation Options

Why deal with parking stress when you can hop on the Ocean City Beach Bus along Coastal Highway for just $4 Ride-All-Day? This convenient option is valid from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. the next morning, allowing you to focus on enjoying the Air Show without worrying about parking.

Use your pass to travel between:
• South Division Street Transit Center
• North End Transit Center
• West Ocean City Park & Ride (free parking)

Express Shuttle Service: Saturday & Sunday, June 13-14:

On Saturday:
• From the Convention Center south lot

• Shuttle Frequency: Every ~20 minutes, from 9 a.m. until 1 hour after show end.

On Sunday:
• From: 32nd Street & Daybreak Avenue
• To: 18th Street & Baltimore Avenue
• Shuttle Frequency: Every ~20 minutes, from 9 a.m. until 1 hour after show end.

Due to anticipated congestion, post-event bus service may be delayed. Plan accordingly.

For transit details and live bus maps, visit https://oceancitymd.gov/oc/departments/public-works/transportation/

Expect Delays. Plan Ahead

We strongly recommend arriving before 9:00 a.m. to avoid the heaviest traffic. Make a day of it by enjoying the Boardwalk and Air Show exhibits, which will be located along the Boardwalk between 12th and 20th Street.

Safety Reminders

With large crowds expected throughout the weekend, everyone is encouraged to stay alert and travel safely.

Pedestrians should use marked crosswalks, obey traffic signals, and avoid crossing mid-block. Drivers are reminded to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks, slow down in congested areas, and avoid distracted driving. Bicyclists and scooter riders should obey traffic laws, travel with the flow of traffic, and use designated bike lanes whenever possible.

Whether you're walking, driving, biking, or riding, patience and awareness go a long way toward keeping Air Show weekend safe and enjoyable for everyone. Arrive early, plan to stay late, and enjoy everything Ocean City has to offer.
