Looking back and seeing us now… so much has changed, but one thing remains the same — the love and dedication behind our feathered mascots. 🦜❤️

Tina cares for our birds like family, making sure they are healthy, happy, and well cared for, including vet visits and daily attention.

What makes her role even more special is the guest experience she creates. ❤️ She introduces our birds to guests, lets them interact up close, and answers questions, helping create unforgettable moments.

For many guests, meeting our birds becomes a highlight of their stay — all thanks to her patience, care, and heart. 🦜🥰

We’re so grateful for everything Tina does for our birds and our guests. 💕

It's White Marlin Week in Ocean City!

The Latest: See Legs Bigeye Caps Breakout Tuesday at White Marlin Open

After rough seas limited Monday’s opening-day fleet to only 17 boats, the 53rd Annual White Marlin Open came alive Tuesday as 255 of the tournament’s 334 registered boats headed offshore.

Monday’s 6- to 9-foot seas produced only three fish at the Harbour Island scales, all tuna, leaving every other division without a qualifying catch. Tuesday brought a much different picture, with crowded scales, a strong billfish bite and a late-arriving bigeye tuna that changed the tournament’s projected payouts.

The tuna action began at 4:05 p.m. when Kevin Patane of Queenstown, Maryland, weighed an 81-pound bluefin aboard HaloRick 2.

At 5:20 p.m., Reel Blessed of Ocean City moved into first place with a 91.5-pound bluefin caught by Jordan “Jordy” Mitchell of Forest Hill, Maryland.

Everything changed at 8:10 p.m. when See Legs of Fenwick Island arrived with a 110.5-pound bigeye tuna. Anthony Rubino of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, battled the fish for four-and-a-half hours before bringing it to the boat. The bigeye took over first place before an electrified crowd at Harbour Island and is currently projected to earn $2,428,991.89.

Reel Blessed now holds second place with projected winnings of $195,223.14. Ocean City’s Marlidropped into third with an 85-pound tuna caught by Steve deBrabander of Newark, Delaware.

The dolphin division also changed several times. Sidepiece moved into first place with a 31.5-pound dolphin caught by Russell Armstrong. Today’s The Day took second with Chris Robertsson’s 23.5-pound fish, while Fowl Play and Today’s The Day are tied for third with 22-pound fish.

With four fishing days remaining and improving offshore conditions forecast for Wednesday, Tuesday’s leaders have plenty of reasons to keep watching the scales.

🛥️ It's White Marlin time! Tomorrow is the start of the 53rd annual tournament. 🎣

The world's largest billfish tournament takes places in Ocean City (the White Marlin capital of the world).

Last year, 282 boats and 2,500 anglers participated!

The winning boat won...wait for it...$3.9 MILLION dollars.

This year there's a 6-day format to the tournament, so look for updates all week

Shhh! Do you know about the "hidden" restaurant in OC? On the Bay at 67th Street, in the gated community of Sunset Island is Sunset Island Bar & Grille.

Open to the public (just stop at the security gate and tell them you're headed to the restaurant to get a pass.)

Open daily through Labor Day 11am - 9pm.

We’ve got a new friend hanging out in front of the Police Department and District Court… a terrapin has officially made itself at home! Now we need your help.

What should we name our newest visitor? Drop your best name ideas below!

Fun fact: Terrapins are one of the few turtles that can live in both fresh and saltwater environments, which makes them a perfect fit for life around the coast!

We’ll be keeping an eye on our new little neighbor… and making sure it follows all local loitering ordinances 😉
