Our Seaside Retreat is a great place to stay if you don’t want to miss the annual Parade of Lights at Oceanside Harbor. Fishing boats, sail boats, yachts, kayaks and dingys dress up for the holiday and circle the Oceanside Harbor to enchant onlookers at the harbor, restaurants and beach.

Not far from the condo on the other side of the pier is a fun play structure for the kids. Just another option for the kids if the water is too cold or the sun is not out.

There is a little piece of California history not too far from the condo- about a 10-15 min drive. Mission San Luis Rey de Franca is one of the missions still in use today. Founded on June 13, 1798, today is its 224th anniversary.

If the kids need a break from the beach there are plenty of other activities near the condo. A family favorite is Legoland in nearby Carlsbad. Just a short 15 min drive away, it is a must see for any legos enthusiast.

While staying at our Seaside Retreat with our fully equipped kitchen there is no need to venture out for breakfast or brunch, but sometimes you just don’t feel like cooking. Fortunately there are two great options within walking distance to consider: Stratford at the Harbor and Buccaneer Cafe.

With Spring comes the beautiful blooms found once a year at The Flower Fields in nearby Carlsbad about a 10 minute drive from the condo.
