In the summer of 2026, we had an amazing time, and we want to thank everyone again who made it special. To celebrate the end of the high season, we want to look back and share some great feedback we received from our guests. These words mean the world and inspire us to do even better 💖

Ocean Acres is preparing for Labor Day this weekend, with some rooms still available! We will then stay open on weekends until Indigenous Peoples’ Day (Oct 12). Check our website (oaogt.com) or call (1-800-705-0333) to see if there’s availability, or hopefully, we’ll see you in 2027 for more relaxation and fun 🌅

A little reminder from a small, family-owned motel.

The person answering the phone is a person, too.

This morning, a guest called about what they believed was an incorrect charge from a reservation made through a third-party booking website.

We are always happy to help.

The problem was that we didn't process the charge, don't have access to their credit card, and can't refund money we never received that was claimed we had charged. These situations are rare, they are unfortunate and you have to help us help you.
All we could do was explain what happened and point them toward the people who could actually fix it.

Later, when we returned the call and asked the guest to stop interrupting long enough for us to explain how to resolve the issue, we were threatened with negative posts on social media for being "rude."

So, here's something we think is worth saying.

We listen when something goes wrong.
We take responsibility when we make a mistake.
We do everything we can to fix the things within our control.

But we also think you need to treat the people trying to help you with kindness.

When you call Ocean Acres, you're probably talking to one of us. We're the owners, the front desk, the maintenance department, the local guides, and the people who genuinely want you to have a great stay.

Being a guest doesn't mean you have to accept bad service, but working in hospitality shouldn't mean accepting bad treatment, either.

There should be room for kindness on both sides of the front desk. Ocean Acres is always there for our guests and so many of you have experienced this at our motel 💙

On August 24, we proudly celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day with our family and friends in Ukraine. Brave Ukrainian women and men continue the fight so that their country can stay free and democratic today.

The genocide committed by russia has been ongoing against the Ukrainian people for hundreds of years. It’s always been brutal and unfair. Remember, the war is not over.

Next time you have the chance to help Ukraine or learn about this country, please do so. Ignorance comes with a cost.

The two flags in our poll hold great significance for Ocean Acres Ogunquit. Stand with Ukraine 🇺🇦

Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the heroes!

Ocean Acres’ recently expanded picnic area has already hosted many family cookouts, board game sessions, and peaceful moments under the trees 🍃

This year, we focused on making the entire property feel more cohesive and refreshed. And we’ll continue to look for ways to maximize the outdoor areas for you and your loved ones 💙💗
