Thank you for an amazing summer!

As we approach the end of the October holiday weekend, we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has stayed with us so far this year. It has been our busiest year on record, and that is entirely because of all of you who chose to stay with us.

We talk a lot about being a small, family-owned motel, but what does that really mean?

When you book a night at Captain’s Quarters, you are directly supporting our family and a locally owned business. We aren’t part of a hotel chain or owned by a large corporation or investment group. It’s simply our local family, our five-room motel, and a lot of work behind the scenes to keep making it better.

That support also allows us to give back to the community we call home. It helps us sponsor local youth sports teams, support local charities and organizations that mean a lot to us, hire and buy locally whenever we can — and, this time of year, buy a whole lot of pumpkins grown right here in our community!

We’re incredibly thankful for our longtime guests who continue to return year after year, as well as all the new faces — and pups — we welcomed for the first time this season.

Every reservation really does make a difference to our little family, and we don’t take that for granted.

Thank you for supporting Captain’s Quarters. We promise to keep putting that support back into the motel, our guests, and the community we’re lucky enough to call home.

The dogs are back on Ogunquit Beach!

One of our favorite times of year is here — dogs are once again welcome on Ogunquit Beach, which makes September a great time for a quick getaway with your pup.

We still have scattered September openings, and midweek dates are currently set to allow single-night stays. Weekend openings are generally set to a 2-night minimum.

And October gets even better for dog owners — starting October 1, dogs are also welcome back on the Marginal Way.

October midweek dates are all available for single night stays.

So you can walk the beach, stroll the Marginal Way, explore town, and enjoy Ogunquit with your dog right beside you.

Captain’s Quarters is a small, family-run motel with only five rooms, and every room is dog-friendly.

Starting Wednesday, September 9, dogs are allowed on the beach (BUT NOT ON THE RIVER SIDE). Dogs are still PROHIBITED on the Marginal Way until Thursday, October 1.

September is one of our favorite times at the coast: still beautiful, a little calmer than peak summer, and a great time to bring your pup.
