Pop Up Princess Photos LLC & Women in History Costume Rental Costumes and studio space for both DIY and professional photographers who are interested in dress up/princess/fantasy/history photo shoots for girls.

We at Pop Up Princess Photos are NOT photographers. We DO NOT take pictures ourselves. Pop Up Princess photos provides costumes and accessories to both DIY and professional photographers who are interested in dress up/princess/fantasy/history photo shoots for girls. We believe every little girl should get a chance to feel like a princess. And if you happen to learn a little bit about real "princes

ses" and other women in history, all the better. We have a number of costumes for girls, starting at about age 3T/4T. We also have a limited number of adult women's costumes up to XL if you are interested in mother/daughter photos. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY PHOTO SESSION RENTAL

For girl costumes, If possible, we recommend wearing a thin strap tank top and fitted shorts or leggings. For most of our costumes, this will not show underneath and this will allow for much quicker costumes changes, saving you extra time for photos. Tank tops or camis can easily be found at most stores, including Walmart and Target.

Pop Up Princess Photos, LLC DOES NOT provide shoes. Many of our costumes are floor length, so frequently shoes are not visible in photos. However, even in full length costumes, shoes may sometimes end up being visible. Many stores carry Princess branded shoes which look great with our costumes. If you are wanting something more historically accurate, look for ballerina-type slippers or ankle boots. Both are also available at a variety of retailers, including Walmart and Target.

Some of our costumes, especially our boy costumes, may require certain articles of clothing be brought from home to complete the outfit (e.g. pants, tights, etc). Please note what additional items your costume might require when requesting specific costumes.

WHAT IS DIY PHOTOGRAPHY?

DIY stands for Do It Yourself. The technological advances in both traditional and camera phones over the last 2 decades has been incredible. While nothing can replace the expertise and experience of a professional photographer, new cameras are allowing a wide range of amateur and novice shutterbugs to take their personal photos to whole new levels.

So DIY photography in terms of Pop Up Princess Photos LLC means that we provide the studio space, the backdrops & lighting, and the costumes & props. You bring your subject (your kids, your friends & family, or yourself), your camera (traditional or phone), and any clothes/accessories you want to use outside of what Pop Up Princess provides. Your studio time is just that . . . yours. A Pop Up Princess Photos employee will be present to assist, but you get to choose the backdrops, the outfits, the props, and the poses. Let your creativity fly! You can also check out or suggestions & tips section or costume albums for ideas.

And if you decide you want the professional photographer experience after all, we have you covered. We share studio space with Fresh Feature Photography, who has packages geared towards Pop Up Princess Photos inventory. We can also work with other photographers, either in studio or on location. If you would like to use Pop Up Princess Photos costumes/props with another Photographer, please have that photographer contact us.

We at Pop Up Princess Photos LLC like to name our costumes after real historical figures (and occasionally those from folk-lore and/or literature). So we're asking for help to name the remainder of our costumes. Check out Photo -> Albums (on mobile Photos -> See all) for our available costumes. If an album has a code but no name, that costume still needs a historical namesake.

If any of our unnamed costumes remind you of a historical figure, please go ahead and comment to nominate it. While ideally the historical figure would be from approximately the same time period/culture as the costume, it is not a requirement. So please help us in giving a nod to some well deserving women from history.
