Today's the last day of our 2026 season at HTR Adirondacks, and what a season it was.

To everyone who camped, paddled the Moose River, hiked Bald Mountain, caught their first fish on the Fulton Chain, or just sat by a fire pit longer than planned: thank you. This property runs on the people who show up for it, and this year you showed up in a big way.

We're not gone for long. Winter seasonal dry camping opens December 4, with free electric, free WiFi, and Trail 6 snowmobile access right outside your site. Until then, thanks for an incredible 2026.

If you only do one hike this fall, make it Bald Mountain.⛰️

It's a manageable climb with a fire tower at the top, and the 360-degree view over the Fulton Chain of Lakes hits differently in October, when the whole valley's turned red and gold instead of green. Minutes from HTR Adirondacks, with the river waiting when your legs are done.

This is peak season for that view. Don't let it pass.

Quick heads up: HTR Adirondacks closes for the 2026 season in four days, on October 17.

If 'maybe next weekend' has been the plan, this is the weekend that plan needs to become real. Foliage is at or near peak right now, and full hookup sites, cabins, and safari tents are all still open, but not for much longer. Active military and veterans save up to 20% with code SERVE, still valid through close.

A classic HTR debate: when you're planning a stay, are you a cabin person or an RV person?

Cabin people want real walls, a porch, and zero setup beyond unpacking the car. RV people want their own rig, their own kitchen, and the flexibility of bringing the whole setup with them. Both end up at the same fire pit by evening.

Drop your camp below. We'll tally the votes.

🍁Glamping gets written off by people who haven't tried it in fall, which is a mistake.

Our safari tents at HTR Adirondacks come with real furniture and real linens, wrapped in canvas on the Moose River, and October adds a foliage backdrop that summer just doesn't have. Warm enough during the day, cool enough at night to actually want the extra blanket.

Still open through October 17. This might be the best stretch of the year for them.🍂

If you've been waiting for the Adirondacks to actually start looking like fall, this is typically the week it happens.🍁

Old Forge and the central Adirondacks usually hit their color shift early October, and the property tends to change right along with the mountains around it. Same fire pits, same river, a completely different backdrop.

We're open through October 17, plenty of time to watch it unfold.
