Spring definitely sprung forward this past weekend in our neck of the woods, bringing a little preview of the season to come. Daffodils, hyacinth, and forsythia are all starting to bloom! 😍

🚨 TONIGHT on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! 🌭🔥 Our neighbor Foothills Grange BMT is starring TONIGHT (Friday, Feb. 27) on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! Guy Fieri rolled through Black Mountain in his red Camaro and was blown away by their chicken parm sausage and killer hot dogs! Episode 'Hot Dogs, Hot Knots, and Hot Ramen' airs at 9 p.m. Eastern on Food Network. Come taste the Flavor Town magic yourself when you visit Europa. Tune in, and plan a trip!

Important information for our hiking and mountain biking friends about work being done on one of the trails in our neighborhood.

The current Kitsuma Trail climb alignment is in the process of being rerouted as DOT addresses landslide repairs along the I-40 corridor. A new climbing alignment is being built away from the work zone and will be finished mid-March. Once the new alignment is ready, it will open immediately and the old climb will be closed at the same time to clearly separate the routes. Please respect all closures and avoid the old trail once it is decommissioned. In consultation with the U.S. Forest Service and DOT, we plan to keep Kitsuma open while this process occurs!

Many of our friends and longtime guests are aware that the past few years have been a transitional time for us through semi-retirement. As we journey into our 19th year, we’re full speed ahead into retiring – both us and the B&B – and aiming for the end of 2026 to move on to our next chapter. We aren’t closing the doors just yet, however… read on for details!

Choose among three B&B options, Deck House only: Reserve either guest room - the Mountain Laurel Room and Maple Tree Room - with shared common areas; one of the guest rooms with the Deck House all to yourselves (new); or the entire Deck House for your group. Book direct at www.innonmillcreek.com.

🏠 VACATION RENTAL (Year‑Round):
The Deck House is currently available on Airbnb all year long as the Mill Creek Guest House and will continue after Nov 15, 2026. 🐾 PET FRIENDLY:
Bring up to two dogs under 40 pounds each when you reserve the Deck House for just yourselves or your group. For larger breeds or more than two small dogs, past guests may contact us for consideration.

It goes without saying that we would not be able to reach a milestone like 19 (going on 20!) years without having the absolute best guests around. We’ve felt supported and uplifted, and have made so many dear friends along the way. The amount of gratitude we have is honestly hard to express at this point, but we thank each and every one of you for choosing a small business like ours over the years and being there for us during good times and bad.
