Trombonist Reggie Watkins has been one of the most in-demand voices on his instrument for decades — a musician whose rich, commanding tone and deep roots in the tradition have taken him around the world alongside some of jazz's greatest names. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Watkins has performed and recorded with Jimmy Heath, Joe Henderson, Dizzy Gillespie, Slide Hampton, Tom Harrell, and many others. He brings an exceptional quintet to Old Lyme for what promises to be a powerful night of straight-ahead jazz.
