~ Tonight's 'celebration' of Johns's life...was - well - simply awesome ~ thank you Deb for being there and I really wish you could of seen the 'rest'..........Trina ~ those were lovely words my friend !!! ~ ♥ ~~~ Everyone shared "stuff" about him ...and Shirley my friend...GOD he loved you...its times like this that we 'see and understand' that people that are "just there" in our lives ...arent really ""just" there ........................

For friends of John Sullivan ~ There will be a celebration in honor of John at The Strike Zone this Monday evening from 9:30 -cl . $1 PBR pounders and $1 coffee brandy's ~ at 10:30 the lights will be dimmed / the music off and we'll all raise our glasses to him ! ~ The following day , Tuesday - for any one that couldnt make it Monday - They're Happy hour will have $1 well and $1 bottle's from 3-6:30 and the same on Tuesday night as Monday ~ They are also working on getting a plaque and bench for him for the beach { nice touch Cam! } They are hoping to have the funds for this by April as to have our own "service" for John at the beach ~ as many of you know ..he was a private man - he had requested a private cremation and no service . There will not be one in MA either for those whom were inquiring ~

~ The Vacancy Family says 'Fair well' to another family member ~ John ' Sully ' Sullivan ~ { any one know his middle name ? I Do ... Had to buy him a shot of Kahlua to get it out of him } ... a loving "gruff' soul - known for his love of Pabst , his guitar playing and Karaoke 'bar singing' ( kinda like chair dancing ) he was singing right with you every verse Ruby every time you sang this song ~ knowledgeable about all that 'little stuff' we always wonder about ~ Cant you here Rona now ? " Jesus Christ John...didnt take you long to get here ? You miss me that much " ~ no disrespect meant there ... just saying it like it would be said ... We'll miss you buddy ! ~ see you when we get there

The First Annual Rona Potvin Memorial Dart Tournament was GREAT ! ~ Not only was there great times shared by all ~ but they { we all } were able to raise a little over $160 to go towards the local families that Rona had for many, many years - somewhat secretly - donated money { so children could have presents under the tree} and made food baskets for them for Xmas dinner . With such a wonderful cause from an even more wonderful Lady ~ everyone really pulled together to make this happen ! Thanks goes out to Mark Blake whom allowed us to have it at his establishment Champions Sports Champions Bar , Dan McKeown , president of The S**o River Dart League , Don Leclair for MC;ing the event and having to work it more than play , and all the other dart members for showing up ! There are simply too many to even begin to mention ~ let alone everyone that just showed up for support ! ~ My only 'little' regret is we didn't start taking pictures til about 6 hours into the event ~~~ DEFIANTLY will be a priority on next years event ! Debra Lariviere ( Potvin) , 1 of Rona's daughters was there to except the check and Brenda Potvin Keating was there via cell phone ~~~ but most of all , Rona's spirit ~ that touched so many hearts .... was not just the reason for the gathering , but a reflection of just how many souls she could bring together and made us feel like family ..... :') { and this was just dart players! } You will always be with us Rona , the impact you made on us will remain timeless ~ ♥ ~ — at Champions Sports Bar.
