Fresh paint and a little porch love at The McClure Guesthouse!

The front and back porches have gotten a fresh coat of paint, and they’re looking refreshed and ready for many more mornings with coffee, quiet afternoons, and evenings spent visiting with friends.

Caring for an 1872 home is always a work in progress, but there’s something rewarding about giving these old spaces the attention they deserve.

Now, who’s ready to pull up a chair and stay awhile?

As I prepare The McClure Guesthouse for our next guests, I can't help but appreciate one of my favorite things about this historic home—its location.

This evening, I took a break on the front porch and enjoyed the sounds of Jess and the Hired Hands performing at Bower Park. The music carried through downtown and made the perfect soundtrack for a summer evening.

Moments like these remind me why I love sharing this special place with others.

Squirrel Sounds is almost here!

The best part? The festival is just around the corner from The McClure Guesthouse. Take a short walk downtown or relax on our front porch and enjoy the music from afar.

We love being in the heart of historic downtown Olney!

The McClure Guesthouse was delighted to host accommodations for the talented aerial silk artist for the Roses & Ribbons Fête Champêtre.

What a dazzling Derby experience it was—full of elegance, artistry, and unforgettable moments.

Historic homes are beautiful… and they definitely keep you busy.

This old woodwork has seen a lot of life over the years, and I’m doing my best to give it the love and attention it deserves.

That’s part of the joy of caring for The McClure Guesthouse—preserving the little details that make it special.
