The trails at Lake Cunningham will be busy this Sunday!

The GOATz Trail Runs return on Sunday, October 18, bringing runners to the trails for a day of endurance and outdoor adventure!

With race distances ranging from 5 miles to 50 miles, the event also gives back to the community, supporting local trail maintenance, community projects, cross-country teams, and more.

📍 The race starts and finishes near the Lake Cunningham Marina (Entrance 1).

⏰ The 50-mile race begins at 3 a.m., with all other distances starting at 8 a.m.

It may be a chilly one, but there will be plenty of activity out on the trails this weekend!

🎣 161 fish in TWO hours?! Now that's a reel good day at The C! 🐟

The fish were biting yesterday as Let's Fish Omaha took kids from RADIUS out for an unforgettable day on the water!

Together, they set a NEW Let’s Fish Omaha record with 161 fish caught and released in just two hours!

Big catches, even bigger smiles, and memories to last a lifetime! We love seeing incredible moments like these happen right here at Lake Cunningham!

Good things are taking shape at Entrance 2!

Crews are hard at work repaving the parking lot, paving the way for smoother arrivals at The C. Thank you to the City of Omaha, City of Omaha Parks & Recreation and Mayor John W. Ewing, Jr. for giving this space a refresh! We’re grateful for your continued partnership in keeping Lake Cunningham a welcoming place to explore and enjoy.

The Trail is OPEN at Lake Cunningham!

We're happy to share some great news as The C continues to bounce back from the recent flooding!

🚶‍♀️ The paved trail is officially OPEN!

🚤 The boat ramp is OPEN!

🚻 Public restrooms are OPEN!

🏕️ West Campground is expected to reopen in the next couple of days!

Our hardworking Lake C crew is busy cleaning up and getting everything back in shape after the floodwaters.

A big THANK YOU to everyone for your patience and understanding while we let our lake do exactly what she was designed to do, help protect our community from flooding!

We're excited to welcome everyone back as more areas reopen. See you at The C!

🚻 Good news from The C!

The public restrooms at the marina are officially OPEN!

The Lake C crew has been hard at work cleaning up after the flooding and getting things back up and running!

We're making progress every day and appreciate your patience as we continue working to reopen more areas of the park.

🌊 Friday Flooding Update at The C!

We're heading into the weekend with some continued progress as water levels slowly recede at Lake Cunningham!

While we're happy to see the water going down, several areas remain closed as we wait for conditions to improve and ensure they're safe for visitors.

The following areas remain closed:
• Paved Trail
• Boat Ramp
• Public Restrooms
• West Campground

Our team continues to monitor conditions closely, and we're looking forward to welcoming everyone back to these areas as soon as it's safe to do so!

🌊 Wednesday Flooding Update

The water is slowly making its way down at The C!

Over the last 24 hours, Lake Cunningham has dropped approximately 0.31 feet. While we’re glad to see progress, several areas still need more time before they can safely reopen.

Currently closed:
• Paved trail
• Boat ramp
• Public restrooms
• West Campground

Our team is keeping a close eye on conditions and will share reopening updates as soon as we have them.

Thank you for hanging in there with us while Lake Cunningham continues doing its job and the water recedes.

🌲 North Trail Update

One of our awesome volunteers checked out the wooded trails north of Pawnee and east of the creek for us!

Mostly clear, but muddy with a few puddles. Walkers are good to go, just plan for muddy shoes!

Still a little too soft and slick for runners, and too soft for horses.

Enjoy the trails and tread carefully! 🌿
