The American Royal Association is as KC as it gets. Founded in 1899, the ARA is dedicated to leading food and agriculture education, events, and engagement as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. They host
nationally competitive livestock shows, the world’s largest barbecue competition, equine events, rodeos, and educational outreach, impacting nearly half a million people each year. Our former 816 Hotel even had an American Royal themed room. These are good people with a great cause.

Two of Kansas City’s beloved attractions, the Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium and the National World War I Museum and Memorial, entered into a "unique" partnership with a forthcoming Spark by Hilton.

Hilton Spark KC Plaza-Streetcar will be the Official Hotel Partner of the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium! A portion of the hotel's revenue generated by Zoo guests will be donated back to the Zoo to support the care of nearly 10,000 animals.

Located at 43rd and Main on the KC Streetcar South Extension, the property, currently the Seville Plaza Hotel, is undergoing significant renovation to its guestrooms, public space, and exterior/landscape before joining the Hilton portfolio. The hotel is expected to welcome guests in March 2026.

The Spark by Hilton will be one of only a handful of properties located directly on the KC Streetcar line, providing guests with exceptional maneuverability from the Plaza to downtown to the River Market.

When Spark begins taking reservations, we will be sure to update you on how you can give back to the Zoo with a stay at this exciting new hotel!
