Yea it's March meaning the shad come in to our bulkheads, birds are lined up for them, the bucket is full for freezing, and cats like this are coming after them! Thank you Lord!

Little guest Riley captaining the pontoon, touring her relatives, while I sit back and relax. She caught the biggest white bass. UncleJamey caught the cats, and Brit caught the most white bass and also the most almost catches too. Karen and I were just along for the applause!

Guests Dave and Darci keep supplying catfish for the eagles, approx 4 to 5 per day meaning there must be a nest near. The storm washed away where the fish were being staged so new place is both a little to the right and on top of the boat house so the eagle is searching - where is the fish? Thank you Dave, Darci, and our Lord for such wonders!

The huge American white pelicans came in, first the two scouts, then the group all having a feast. See several videos.

The eagle sat across our cove but knew I was on the pier close to the fish scraps so would not come, or Dave said it already got had so much it might have been full. Try again tomorrow!

Guests fed the eagle and here is its flight to its babies with its easy feast in its claws (and yes I'll go hide closer to get better video in coming days, be patient!), and a guest boat tour with youth taking turns driving, and catch's of the day some of which feed the eagle, other guests, and hit the freezer!

This is our bald eagle feeding story!

Our winter Texans Dave, Darci, and Big Ben are back and already retrained the bald eagles to come get fresh fish daily.

Dave & Darci catch more fish than they can eat, share with other guests and put 3 or 4 out a day for the eagles. Fun to watch. Then one or two sit in the tree above cabin 3&4 watching and waiting on Dave & Darci relaxing on their porch. When they first arrived, Ben the dog got out of the car and went right for the water, he loves swimming!

Celebrating the grand opening of our newest waterfront cabin! It is 500sqft, sleeps 2 in a comfortable king log bed, has knotty pine interior, full kitchen, leather furniture, and the best views!

We renumbered all the cabins to make them flow in the order as you come in, so this is now Cabin #2. The newly numbered plot plan and pictures of the other cabins with their new numbers are also included after the new cabin #2.

First lake fog of the season, much of the lake temporarily disappeared, hunting season is here, deer are out, ducks coming, beautiful snow pelicans soon to arrive, and the weather is nice!

Oh happy days, the lake is filling back after TRA lowered it for potential tropical storms. We cleaned logs and hyacith debris for 3 weeks. Now 3 of the 4 piles are burning, all were same huge size, 2 burned yesterday, just started this one, and the last one is fighting me, still wet, and it went out last night but im reattacking it shortly.
