Onekama in the fall is magical. 🍂

The mornings come a little later, with sunrise around 7:42 a.m.—just enough time to sleep in a bit before breakfast and still catch that first light over the lake.

And the evenings? Sunset around 7:27 p.m., with the trees around Onekama flashing like a vibrant fire as the seasons change.

It’s the kind of weather that makes you want to spend the day outside, explore the lake and trails, and come back to The Canfield House with the windows cracked open and the cool autumn air drifting in.

Fall color season is almost here! Have you made your reservation yet?

Don’t worry—you haven’t missed it. This photo was taken right here at the Canfield House last fall. 🍂

Soon, the trees along Portage Lake will be putting on their annual show, and there’s nothing quite like waking up surrounded by all that color, enjoying breakfast overlooking the lake, and settling into a cozy fall weekend in Onekama.
