🏨 Exciting News for Onida! 🏨
The Wheatland Inn is officially under new ownership!
We’re honored and excited to continue serving outdoorsmen/women, travelers, workers, and visitors to the area.
Before we begin this next chapter, we want to express our sincere gratitude to the Stephens family. For over 33 years, they have cared for and operated the Wheatland Inn, providing hospitality and a welcoming place to stay for countless guests. Their dedication helped make the Wheatland Inn a recognizable and valued part of the Onida community, and we are thankful for the foundation they have built. We wish the Stephens family all the best and appreciate the trust they’ve placed in us to carry the Wheatland Inn forward.
A little about the next chapter and new owners- Brandon and Kari Wolf. They’ve been in the hospitality business for a few years now and have been working to support and bring/keep business in rural communities across NE South Dakota.
The ability to provide amenities you’d find in bigger cities is challenging! With the help of technology they hope to still be able to provide some of them.
Stay tuned as we make updates and enhancements while preserving the character, history, and small-town hospitality that have made the Wheatland Inn special for generations.
