Stan’s ready for one of the biggest weekends of the summer in Ontonagon!

The 20th Porcupine Mountains Music Festival is coming August 28 & 29 to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park — two days of incredible live music surrounded by one of the most beautiful places in the U.P.

BBQ, fishing, good company, and most importantly—a chance to honor the men and women who served.

Our friends at Mountain View Lodges have officially opened the Silver City Doghouse food trailer!

34042 107th Engineers Memorial Hwy, Silver City, MI 49953

They’re serving up hot dogs, specialty dogs, chili, mac & cheese, nachos, ice cream and more — another great food option for folks heading to Silver City and the Porcupine Mountains.

Summer Hours:
Wednesday–Saturday & Monday: 11 AM–8 PM
Sunday: 4 PM–8 PM
Tuesday: Closed

They’re open until 8 PM tonight, so swing by and treat yourself!

The 6th Annual Fall Color Fly-In or Drive-In is coming to the Ontonagon County Airport on Saturday, October 3!

Planes, fall colors, scenic rides, food, displays and plenty to see — all just minutes from Sunshine Motel & Cabins.

Scenic airplane rides — $40/person

🏈💚💛 **It’s that time of year again!**

Of course, here at Sunshine Motel & Cabins, we’re **always green and gold** — football season just gives us an excuse to be a little louder about it. 😂

You might not see Packers flags flying from every building in Ontonagon, but trust us… **there’s always another Packers fan somewhere around town.** And when Sunday rolls around, somehow we all seem to find each other.

There’s just something about football season in the U.P. The temperatures start cooling down, fall starts creeping into the trees, the Packers are back on TV, and before long somebody is yelling **GO PACK GO!**

So whether you’re staying with us while exploring the Porcupine Mountains, traveling along Lake Superior, or just passing through Packers country on your next U.P. adventure, you’ll fit right in.

At the Sunshine, the welcome is warm, the colors are green and gold, and we hope every guest feels like they’ve found their place away from home.
