Presenting the Southern Gothic: Love Stories ensemble! This wondrous group of people will be bringing you Valentine's most unique experience. As you are served a Southern-inspired 4 course meal, these talented folks will be taking you into worlds of dark mystery through live music theatrically intertwined with classic storytelling.
KATIE MELBY is a theatre and puppetry artist originally hailing from South Dakota. She has been touring and devising new work with her physical theatre company 3 Sticks since graduating from the London International School of Performing Arts in 2005. Melby is also an ASMR content creator
ABDUL-KHALIQ MURTADHA is a professional actor, theatre practitioner, and filmmaker whose work spans stages and screens across the U.S. A.K. serves as an Associate Professor of Theatre at Auburn University and teaches in the MFA Theatre program at Randolph College. He is a Designated Linklater Teacher and a member of SAG‑AFTRA, AEA, and VASTA.
PRESTON STROM is the Music Director and Choirmaster at Emmanuel Episcopal Church and is currently studying for the priesthood. Hailing from Wedowee, Alabama, Preston will be lending classical music refinement to the evening.
BRITT & BRENNEN REECE are the extraordinary The Secret Sounds. Specializing in mid-century blues, jazz, and country fusion. They're bringing in original songs that are part of a 'swamp opera' Brennen is currently writing.
MERRY MOPPETS are making their debut performance as a puppetry focused performance troupe. Founding members Amy Camp and Dani Nelson hope to bring comedic elements to accompany the melodrama of a classic literary short story. With these two involved, it promises to be delightfully strange.
