This needs to go viral!
hosts, DO NOT RAISE RATES 15.5% and DO NOT ALLOW AIRBNB to raise your rates automatically. The proper way is to raise the 12.5% increase that they are charging us instead of guests. This will give airbnb one 15% increased profit per booking and a 3% gross increase in rental cost to guests!

Previous
$100 for 1 night,
15.5% to abnb
3% from host $3
$97.00 to host
12.5 to guest
$12.50 airbnb

Now, okay so owners will raise rates 15.5%
$115.50 for 1 night
15.5% to $17.90 to airbnb
$97.30 to host
Guest pays 15.5% more, airbnb increased by over 15% and now effectively make 17.9% per rental instead

Another 2 non direct bookings yesterday. I totally understand not just the fear but the associated hardship from scams. With charge backs, purchase protection, these are all included fees of payment or only charge very little to insure your payment. Platforms are charging for this very service they don't actually provide! Follow me for information to make certain you'll never get scammed!
