𝗒𝗕𝗔 π—•π—Ήπ˜‚π—²π˜€ π—”π—Ήπ—²π—Ώπ˜: The Blue Angels are flying home today from their Pax River Air Show in Maryland. We expect to see them in our area between 4:30 and 5:30. We will update this post if we receive additional information.

Once the Blues are in the area, watch the comments on this post for updates on sighting locations.

As always, we never know their flight plan, whether they'll give us a Beach Buzz, or, if they do, which beaches they’ll buzz. So far this year, they have made several final turns near Perdido Pass and a little further west. Hopefully, they’ll continue this flight pattern on their return trips this year.

Thanks to everyone who's out watching for the Blue Angels from Navarre and Pensacola Beach for posting updates here in the comments when you see them coming. It really helps.

There is a moment on the Alabama Gulf Coast when the sun hits the water just right and the whole world turns gold, and if you have ever been lucky enough to witness it you know exactly what we are talking about.

πŸŒ…πŸŒŠ Gulf Shores and Orange Beach sit on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the entire country, and the sunsets here are in a category entirely their own. The combination of that sugar white sand, that emerald Gulf water, and a sky that seems to go on forever creates conditions for some of the most spectacular evening light you will ever see anywhere on earth.

People plan entire trips around being on that beach at that exact hour, and every single time the Gulf delivers something different β€” a different palette of colors, a different arrangement of clouds catching the fading light, a different reflection shimmering across the wet sand at the water’s edge. The Alabama Gulf Coast is one of those places that gets into your soul in a way that is almost impossible to explain to someone who has never been. It is not just the beauty of it, though the beauty is undeniable.

It is the feeling of standing there with the warm Gulf breeze on your face and the sound of the water all around you and realizing that for this one moment, everything in the world is exactly right. What does a Gulf Shores sunset mean to you, and who do you most want beside you when you watch it? πŸ€πŸ–οΈ

πŸŽ† There is exactly one night of the year when the entire Alabama Gulf Coast β€” locals, tourists, everyone β€” stops whatever argument it's having with itself and just looks up at the same sky at the same time.

The Fourth of July fireworks over the beach at Orange Beach and Gulf Shores are one of those experiences that reminds you why shared spectacle matters, why it's worth standing in a crowd or anchoring a boat offshore in the dark to be part of something that happens all at once and then is over and belongs to everyone who was there.

The fireworks displays over the Alabama Gulf Coast on the Fourth of July are among the most spectacular in the entire Southeast β€” launched from the beach with the Gulf of Mexico as both backdrop and mirror, visible for miles in every direction across the flat water.

The tradition of watching the fireworks from boats anchored offshore is one of the great Gulf Coast Fourth of July rituals β€” dozens, sometimes hundreds of vessels of every size and description clustered in the dark water off the beach, their running lights creating a second constellation just above the waterline, every face turned toward the shore and the sky above it. The display ends. The smoke drifts south on the Gulf breeze. And for a few minutes, everybody on every boat in that anchorage is talking to everybody else.

Have you watched the Fourth of July fireworks from the water off the Alabama beach β€” and is that your preferred way to spend that night? Drop a comment. πŸŽ†
