🌊 UPDATE 6/9/2026: The Health Department removes public swimming advisories for
📍Mobile Bay at Fairhope Public Beach
📍Mobile Bay at Orange Street Pier
📍Gulf of Mexico at Gulf State Park Pavilion.

Based on water samples collected yesterday, swimming water quality is once again considered good, with enterococci levels below the EPA threshold of 104 colonies per 100 milliliters.

The Alabama Department of Public Health and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management operate the bacteriological water quality monitoring and notification program through a grant from the EPA’s BEACH Act Program.

Happening Today ⬇️

Attention: Orange Beach Surf Rescue will be working with other city agencies on Monday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to noon on a water emergency exercise at Alabama Point.

There will be a large presence of city personnel and equipment on land and water near the east jetties at Perdido Pass.

It will only be a drill and there's no need for alarm.

Keep your eyes peeled on Saturday, June 6th, some of the world's most incredible cars will be cruising through as drivers make their epic journey from Miami to Mexico City.

They'll be making a pit stop for lunch at The Tap & Still Gulf Shores. The restaurant will be closed to the public during the stop, but feel free to swing by and safely check out the cars from outside!
