At Orcas Hotel, we’ve been thinking a lot about the kinds of things that AI can’t replicate. A perfectly imperfect historic inn. Whale sightings from the porch (this morning!) Weather stories over hot coffee. A barista who remembers your order. Mr. Lily’s long porch naps. Watching the wisteria finally start to bloom after a long winter.

We like real people with quirks, attention spans and saltwater in their hair. We like places that creak a little and feel lived in. The sigh of relief from a couple that dock their boat and run up to find the cafe still open 10 minutes before close. Musicians that hold an impromptu jam session on the lawn when it’s sunny out. All things that happen here at the hotel.

Sure, this island may not always be convenient, but people looking for magic usually find it here. Come for a stay. We’re a soft place to land for islanders and ferry folk alike.

This is our ode to our port in the storm featuring island legends Mr. Lily, Jamey and Pedro as well as our fearless Captain Robert (and a special thanks to Hallie!)🌊

TOMORROW!!!

Life has a funny way of connecting us all. ✨

We believe in kismet and nowhere has that felt more true than in this project at the Orcas Hotel, a place that has woven itself into the fabric of so many lives over the past century. Especially in that bar, where so much laughter, music, and good company have filled the room.

So it only feels right that for the official opening of the bar under our ownership, we’re welcoming fellow islanders Caleb and Reeb to play. (We even have a story about how we met them involving a certain Ebenezer that we love to tell. Come ask us. 😄)

This one is free, open to all, and we truly can’t think of a better way to kick off the season. It brings us joy to gather people together.

If you’re off-island, we still have a few rooms available, make a night of it. 🌊

The days are longer, the wisteria is blooming and it’s getting dreamy over here. If you’ve been looking for a reason to book a getaway on the island, we have two.

High Tide⛵️

High Tide is designed for people who have decided, wisely, to slow down. Orcas has a way of making that easy. The boats run on their own schedule, the roads don’t go anywhere urgent, and the best thing to do on a Saturday is roughly the same as the best thing to do on a Sunday. Arrive, open the wine, and let the island set the pace. No hurry, no worry.

Inclusions

- Overnight accommodations
- A bottle of wine and something sweet for two
