Camp Merriwood

Camp Merriwood Loads of fun on beautiful Upper Baker Pond! Today 2nd, 3rd, and now 4th generations of the Miller family are actively involved in the operation of Merriwood.

Camp Merriwood is a traditional summer camp for girls between the ages of 8 and 15 located in New Hampshire and founded in 1949 by Janet 'Mom' Miller. Mom Miller's granddaughter, Susan, is the camp's director. At Merriwood, girls learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and supportive setting. Through structured programs of instructional activities and creative electives, girls gain the confidence to d

evelop appropriate risk-taking skills. Our campers participate in tennis, soccer, lacrosse, water skiing, sailing, crew, horseback riding, arts and crafts, swimming, gymnastics, dance, archery, and many other activities. Our strong atmosphere of family and support has our girls coming back to us year after year. We invite you to explore Merriwood Magic!

This captures so much of what we hope Merriwood gives our girls—not simply a summer filled with fun, but a place where they learn who they are. They try new things, take risks, build confidence, care for one another, laugh loudly, make lifelong friendships, and discover that they are capable of more than they imagined.

Every Merriwood Girl brings something different to our community, but they share a bond that lasts far beyond their summers on Upper Baker Pond.
