Last week Del Mar Vacations partnered with a team of MBA students from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business on a First-Year Project focused on a potential pilot solution to Cape Cod’s seasonal workforce housing challenge: the Three-Season Lodging (3SL) Pilot. The project explored how Cape Cod could create a scalable seasonal workforce housing village model that delivers peak-season housing at a significantly lower cost than year-round housing, supported by a financial model, regulatory pathway, stakeholder strategy, and 18-month implementation roadmap.
The student team included Adrian Robertson, Daniel Boyle, Christopher Fleischer, Jacob Lachina, Andrew Ward, and Monica Carbone.
Luke Chapman served as the project sponsor and advisor, bringing the vision, strategic direction, economic assumptions, and local/political context needed to shape the work.
A special thank-you as well to the community stakeholders who joined the final presentation and helped pressure-test the concept, including Judy Lindahl, Elizabeth Jenkins, and Cameron Hadfield. Their participation brought the real-world operator, municipal, and community perspective needed to move this from “interesting idea” to “okay, how would this actually work?”
