Today you should be getting an email from our GIBC. If you are an owner the email will supply you with instructions on how to be able to view and participate in our 3rd Quarterly Meeting that will be held this Sunday, August 23 beginning at 10 AM.

I have added a screenshot of the email along with our front desk, contact telephone number in case an owner misses the email.

As our invitation states, we would love if you could join us on Sunday, August 23 at 10 AM at our Georgian Inn Beach Club. You can use the Special that begins that week to make it more affordable to stay that weekend, or even the entire week.

However, we realize many will not be able to take the time off or the logistics simply don’t work for them. So, we will be offering online access with details on how to participate online to follow, as soon as they are completed.

Even though we added a pool company for cleaning and maintaining the pool we have had some continuing issues with the pool water not looking clear. We have a new maintenance manager, Michael Galati. He is turning out to be a true diamond in the rough asset to our staff. After fully inspecting our pool to determine what our pool issues were Michael started working to address them. Obviously, that is already "clearly" showing visible improvements and success. If you see Michael, welcome him to our home away from home!

And have I mentioned we have a really nice beach here too?

Parking Policy During High-Occupancy Weeks.

GIBC has 63 parking spaces, plus three handicap spaces and two spaces reserved for penthouse units. During weeks when 64 rooms are occupied, the following policy applies to prioritize owners of the current week: current-week owners receive a pink pass and may park in the GIBC lot. If they have a second vehicle, they receive a yellow pass, as do all other guests. Vehicles with yellow passes are to park across the street in the rear lot of the former Beachside Bar Deck & Grill. Employees park across the street or in the park during hours that is allowed.

If you do not have a pink pass, do not park in the GIBC lot; vehicles without a pink pass will be towed at the owner’s expense. During weeks when this policy is in effect, the front desk will explain the details at check-in.

We want to allow for honest misunderstandings, but we must also address violating the policy. Currently, vehicles parked on the property without a pink pass receive a warning sticker, and our staff will try to contact the owner so they can voluntarily move the vehicle before it is towed. However, consistent enforcement is necessary to prevent abuse of the policy.

In weeks where there are more than 64 current-week owners they will all receive a pink pass, but some may still need to park across the street on a given day. While this is not ideal, it is the best option currently available.

Again, this policy applies only during weeks when 64 or more rooms are occupied, and the front desk will clearly communicate when it is being enforced.
