A first look at the Sun Cove Garden Pavilion!

If you’ve been to Sun Cove this year, you’ve probably seen this project coming together right in the heart of the resort. We’ve spent the summer transforming an area that had been neglected for years into a new place for gardens, putting, bocce, giant chess, yard games, picnicking and more.

Gardens were once a big part of Sun Cove, and we love that this project brings another treasured piece of that history back to the resort while creating something new for today’s guests.

Fun fact: the new 5-hole putting green sits in the exact spot where Sun Cove’s original putt-putt course once stood in the 60’s!

There’s still plenty to finish, but we’re excited to finally share this progress photo of one of Sun Cove’s newest additions.

Word travels fast around a fishing lake—and this catch deserves to. 🎣

Trigger hauled this magnificent 6¼-pound trout from the waters just off the Sun Cove dock, earning his place in The Sun Cove Legacy Catch Club—our roll of honor for the fishermen and unforgettable catches that become part of Wannacut Lake history. 🏆
That’s the sort of catch that becomes part of Wannacut Lake lore.

Summer has settled in at Sun Cove! ☀️

The flowers are blooming, the cabins are full of life, and the lake has been quietly bustling with fishing boats, hydrobikes, kayaks, paddleboards, and kids making the most of the water trampoline.

It's that good old-fashioned kind of summer — sunny dock days, tired kids, happy guests, and evenings that make you want to stay outside just a little longer.

Mother’s Day weekend at Sun Cove gave us some of the sweetest little lake moments. 💛

Families gathered at the cabins, kids played outside, fishing poles stayed busy, and the lake looked about as beautiful as can be.

And then came this little parade of goslings. 🪿✨
Spotted and photographed right here at the resort from one of our brand-new Hydrobikes. 🚲 Because at Sun Cove, even a bike ride can happen on the water.

Here’s to the moms who pack the snacks, bait the hooks, cheer from the dock, wrangle the kids, make the memories, and still find time to enjoy the view.

🌞 What an incredible Opening Weekend at The Sun Cove Resort!

The lake is alive and fishing is heating up — 1,500 beautiful 1.5 lb rainbow trout were stocked right here at the resort last week, along with 50,000 little ones to keep the future bright. 🎣🐟

And if that wasn’t enough… the balsamroot daisies are in full bloom, turning our lower lakeside event field into something truly special. 🌼✨ It doesn’t get much more beautiful than spring at Sun Cove.

Wake up by the water, cast a line, enjoy the sunshine, and unwind where the lake meets the mountains. Cabins, campsites, and lakeside memories are waiting.

Just over 3 weeks to go… Sun Cove opens April 24th—the day before fishing season begins on Wannacut Lake.
