Some days have surprises - needed this heavy air compressor on the other side of the resort but the utility trailer was still frozen in the snow and ice. Too icy to walk the thing over so ..... this idea actually worked really great with no issues! NCAA basketball games all cooperated this afternoon and then: Once is awhile you get some really great news and I did over a cold beer just a short while ago. A very good friend received unexpected fantastic news from her team at Mayo - it brought tears to my eyes (during the NCAA basketball tournament it is not unusual for me to cry).

Winter's Back! We got a bunch of snow that should be great for the lake trails and land trails! There will be lots of postings but bottom line... snowmobiling is not over! We are open for FOOD and Beverages today, Friday, and Saturday from 11:30 to 7pm. Lu will keep bar open for pizzas after that time if there are riders!!!

Open Fri Mar 13 and Sat Mar 14!
Oh Boy… all the weather radars show our area in the thick of the oncoming storm! And like the ever ready battery she is Lu Caul texts and writes ‘I’ll work this weekend’! So. We know many of our local and Canadian friends will be out riding after the storm ends late Friday morning!! So we are doing a POpUP Open Friday and Saturday offering bar food, gas, and beverages 11:30 to 7pm! Beverages and pizza after 7pm or until Lu puts the closed sign up! Please stop in or consider riding to Ash River if you are out and about and keep Lu busy!! !! (Sorry. No breakfasts. )

SUNDAY March 8: Its Our Final Day for Food 'n Drinks this season! 😞Come on out to the Trail before 4pm to get some delicious eatin' while it lasts! Think soup.... burgers... chicken sandwiches.. PRIME RIB SANDWICH special and specials on appetizers! See you today! And... a big thank you to all who ventured our way this winter. We appreciate each and everyone of you and thank you for supporting ATL!!

And finally.... we rent cabins YEAR ROUND even if the lodge is closed (cause ya' all know Steve never leaves and needs some company!) If you want a trip our way in March thru early May, give us a call! Our cabins will be waiting for you!

Best update for park and area trails! Its a mixed bag out there for sure... fair to poor but lakes are still ridable!

Warm weather and recent rainfall have had a significant impact on the conditions of our winter trails throughout the park. If you are on the snowmobile trails, expect mixed conditions depending on terrain and exposure to sun. Shaded areas are mostly still rideable but exposed sections may not have any snow on the ground at all. Slush is present in scattered areas on the frozen lake surfaces. At this time, there is still enough snow on the lake trails to provide adequate lubrication for snowmobiles. As always, be prepared for changing conditions and adapt as necessary.

Our seasonal rider Brian tells me the lakes are in decent shape and a few of the Kab Trails are in ridable shape. He's a reliable source.... if the trails suck he'll be the first to say it. The Ash River area land trails are in tough shape (except for northern Kab Trails) and we will get a report on the Arrowhead going south! There is SNOW in the forecast but lets see if the weather folks are right this time for our area! We do have some dedicated riders headed our way today so we will update the trail conditions as we get the info from them!
