Yesterday was one of the most surreal and frightening evenings we’ve ever experienced here at Cabin O’ Pines.
A wildfire near Nett Lake Road came within about a mile south of us. For the first time in our family’s decades at the resort, we found ourselves preparing guests, staff, and our own family for the possibility of evacuation while watching aircraft and emergency crews work the fire nearby.
We are incredibly grateful to every single person who responded so quickly and worked through the evening to keep this fire from becoming something much worse. You are our heroes.
Thank you to:

Watching the Fire Boss water bombers, helicopter crew, firefighters, and first responders work together was incredible, and we are so thankful for the people who protect these communities, forests, homes, and businesses.
Today, the resort is safe, our guests are safe, and we’re simply feeling very grateful for this community and everyone who helped protect it. ❤️
