Meet our new On-Site Managers!

We are excited to finally introduce ourselves. We're Spencer and Rachelle, the new on-site mangers here at Grey Wolf Lodge, and we're looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone!

We have been traveling in our camper across multiple states for the last five years. We have been from Arizona to Florida, but our favorite has been right here in Northern Minnesota. The Northwoods and Pelican Lake has become very special to us over the last few years. We had the opportunity to meet and work with Ross and Lara over at their other resort the last two summers which introduced to the resort life and has now led us here!

We will be striving to keep creating a peaceful and fun environment for your vacations and fishing trips. Be sure to stop by and say hello, and let us know how we can make your stays here even better. We are very excited to be apart of this new chapter and this Grey Wolf Lodge community!

Yesterday evening was a sobering reminder of just how quickly things can change.

A wildfire on Nett Lake Road came within about a mile south of us here at Grey Wolf Lodge. Watching the smoke, aircraft, and emergency crews move in so quickly was something we won’t forget anytime soon.

We especially want to thank the Metsa family. Former beloved owner, John Metsa, called to warn those of us on the south shore as the situation was unfolding, and his son, Jason Metsa, was already on scene. That call gave us valuable time to assess the situation, prepare our managers, Rachelle and Spencer, and be ready if evacuation became necessary for our guests. We are incredibly grateful for neighbors and friends who look out for one another like that.

We also want to sincerely thank everyone of the heroes involved in responding to the fire:

Watching the Fire Boss water bombers, helicopter crews, firefighters, and first responders work together was incredible, and we are deeply thankful for the people who protect these communities and forests.

Today, Grey Wolf Lodge is safe, and we’re feeling very grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another when it matters most. ❤️

NEW SPRING BASS TOURNEY! 🐟🎣

Pelican Lake Resort Association is kicking off fishing opener in a big way with our first-ever Spring Bass Tournament! The tourney runs from May 9 through May 31, 2026, giving anglers plenty of time to get out on the water and chase some big bass. Participants will have a chance to win up to $1,000 in cash for the biggest bass. In addition to prizes for the two biggest bass, we will also randomly select 5 anglers to win $100 cash for any bass caught over 16 inches. Same great prizes. Same good times. More chances to fish.
