It’s a bit of a tradition around here to bike the Heartland Trail from Park Rapids to Dorset and stop for ice cream at the Dorset House in the Restaurant Capital of the World.

The trail is about 6 miles long, paved, and almost completely flat, making it an easy ride for all ages. We’ve had kids as young as 6 and 7 ride their own bikes the entire way.

If you’re looking for a fun summer activity, this is one worth adding to your list!

Our resort is located on Straight Lake in Osage, MN, known for great fishing and species like walleye, northern, bass, crappies, and bluegill.

This bass definitely made the fishing trip a successful one!
