Today's WILDSlife sightings:

A young bear wandering the road, a momma deer & her fawn, painted turtles, a 24 inch 4.4lb Walleye caught by a neighbor & a cute little Perch caught by Dan. Merle the raccoon (we decided he needs a name since he's a regular) also made another evening appearance at our backyard compost buffet. He's partial to cantaloupe & watermelon rinds. 🤣

This week’s WILDSlife sightings have been extra special! 🦝🦌🐿️🐢

We’ve had a hungry raccoon, plenty of deer, our adorable lodge chipmunks, and lots of snapping turtles laying their eggs along the roads. Keep an eye out and drive carefully! ❤️

Mother Nature also treated us to some incredible double rainbows and more than a few gorgeous sunsets. There’s never a dull moment when you’re surrounded by all this beauty! 🌈🌅

Today's WILDSlife sightings: a big snapping turtle crossing the road, the friendly squirrels 🐿️ and chipmunks we feed at the lodge, another painted turtle 🐢 in the yard and a raccoon 🦝.

This mornings WILDSlife sightings are courtesy of a few of our seasonal guests 🙂

Our chipmunks around the lodge are really friendly this year & so fun to watch.

Al sent the video of the muscrat & said he could hear the muscrat crunching on a fish he caught!

Today's WILDSlife sightings around the resort included:

1) a Cecropia moth which is recognized as the largest native moth species in North America

2) a painted turtle trying to lay eggs on the side of our driveway. She didn't seem to mind her furry audience either.🤷🏼‍♀️

You'd think being surrounded by woods and trees would be enough... but apparently not. 😂

So we planted more!

Well, to be fair, Dan did. He spent today adding even more trees around the resort. At this rate, the squirrels are going to start paying property taxes. 🌲🐿️ Or so we could wish.

Apparently the garden inspection committee was making rounds tonight! 🦔 This porcupine wandered over while I was working in the garden and seemed perfectly content to hang out for a while.
