Our first season at Head of the Lakes Resort didn’t come without challenges—but it also didn’t come without successes, rewards, and wins. ❤️
We welcomed new guests, got to know our seasonal families, made improvements, added homemade pizzas to the menu, and earned a Top 5 nomination for Best Lodging in the Alexandria area. We’ve shared laughter, made friendships, and watched people create memories in a place that now means so much to us.
Some of our biggest wins were quieter: finding a solution when something went wrong, learning something we didn’t know yesterday, and seeing hard work turn into progress.
We’re learning that what matters most isn’t simply the challenges we face—it’s how we respond to them. We came into this journey with the intention of leading with dignity and respect, persevering through the hard days, and meeting problems with solutions.
We haven’t gotten everything perfect, but we hope those intentions have shown in our actions. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, grateful for what we’ve learned, and committed to continuing to grow.
To everyone who visited, encouraged us, lent a hand, offered patience, or cheered us on: thank you. You helped make our first season something worth celebrating.
