A first tonight at the lodge. Cool night so we got the fireplace cranked up. Minutes into the fire this guy flies into the fire down the flue. Luckily the guys grabbed her before she caught on fire! We released her and she gratefully flew out over the lake!

Back in the early days of the Maine's Woods Telephone system, the Maine Forest Service laid an underwater telephone cable across Eagle Lake about 1/2 mile north of Pillsbury Island. The cable, dubbed a "submarine cable", was 4,750 feet long and connected the Tramway headquarters to Soper Mountain and beyond and was run in 1935. The previous line took a roundabout route and was difficult to keep brushed out. This was one of the first underwater cables used by the Maine Forest Service.

Mark your calendars friends - our final day of the Winter season at Libby Camps will be Sunday, March 8th.

Winter got off to a great start and afforded us some fantastic riding through January and February, but as of March 5th our continual prayers to the snow gods continue to fall on deaf ears. The trails have held up remarkably well in our neck of the woods, but the lack of new snow on the horizon combined with an upcoming week of temperatures in the 50s won't do us any favors. So grab your crew and make these next three days count! We'll have all of your favorites on the menu, and look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones too!

A huge thank you to all those who have visited this winter season, those who have helped to maintain trails, and to our wonderful staff who work tirelessly to make our winter season possible. It takes a village to operate a business in the North Maine Woods, and we couldn't do it without your support. God bless, and see you all this weekend for one last ride!

Open 10am to 4pm - Friday 3/6 through Sunday 3/8!

Ask and you shall receive! Our special this weekend is the always popular and impossibly delicious Buffalo Chicken wrap!...
