About the Innkeepers:
For many years, Steven and Brett have dreamed of opening a bed and breakfast in their home and searched for the perfect property to begin this new chapter of their life. When they found Stag’s Leap Farm outside the small village of Oxford, they knew their dream would come true! Steven has worked as a physical therapist for more than 20 years, specializing in traumatic brain i

njury. Brett has worked in online marketing for more than 20 years. Brett loves to cook, Steven enjoys gardening and tending the chickens, and, together, they planned the design and layout of the B&B, and oversaw all renovations. Steven and Brett have been married for six years and have nine children between them, ranging from age 11 to 30. Their goal is for every guest to have an exceptional and memorable experience at Stag’s Leap.

Lilac season doesn’t last long in Michigan, so we decided to turn a little bit of spring into homemade lilac jelly. 💜

After gathering fresh lilac blossoms, we steeped them into a floral tea and transformed them into jars of sweet jelly that tastes like springtime in bloom. Light, delicate, and just a little fancy — it’s perfect on toast, biscuits, or paired with a charcuterie board.

The kitchen smelled absolutely amazing during this one. 🌸✨

Turns out dandelions are good for more than just taking over the lawn. 🌼🌼🌼

Steven and I spent part of the weekend picking dandelions in a local field, separating the petals, brewing dandelion tea, and turning it into homemade dandelion jelly.

So what does it taste like? Honey and sunshine. ☀️🍯

Light, floral, slightly sweet, and filled with the flavors of spring, it’s like spreading a warm sunny day onto a piece of toast. There’s something so special about turning simple blooms from the farm into something delicious to share with our guests.
