The contrasting colors of Mount Rainier’s subalpine meadows certainly stand out! Crimson columbine pops next to yellow arrowleaf groundsel. Blue lupine complements pink subalpine daisies. While the variation is attractive to people, we can thank pollinators – bees, flies, beetles, birds, and more – for our rainbow meadows. Each pollinator prefers a different combination of color, scent, shape, and size in their ideal wildflower. What are your favorite wildflower color combos?

Remember, please stay on trails to avoid trampling wildflowers! There are plenty of opportunities for the perfect wildflower + mountain view from the trails.

Join us tonight Wednesday, July 22nd, at 6:00 PM for a night of fun, music, and giving back! It's time for Music Bingo, and this month, we're supporting an incredible cause — Packwood Fire and Rescue (PFR).

What to Expect:
- Fun and engaging rounds of music bingo, including a special Fight the Fire round plus 70's and 80's rounds
- Great tunes and good vibes
- Delicious brews on tap
- A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit PFR

About Packwood Fire and Rescue:
PFR is a community-minded department that does more than answer calls — together with the Packwood Community Association, they host the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Pancake Breakfasts on Memorial Day and Labor Day, and the Christmas Tree Lighting with a spaghetti dinner.

Each year, PFR responds to:
An average of 150 EMS calls
An average of 25 to 30 fire calls
