The ongoing rehabilitation of the Ohanapecosh Campground will continue to require a full closure of the campground, visitor center and all public services through the 2026 camping season. The site is expected to reopen by November 2026. Funded in part by the Great American Outdoors Act's Legacy Restoration Fund, the project includes the rehabilitation of 185 campsites and 9 comfort stations, replacement of wastewater collection system, upgrades to electrical and water systems, road repairs, and accessibility improvements.
The Ohanapecosh Visitor Center, day use parking, amphitheater, restrooms, trailhead access, and Ohanapecosh River access in the campground are also all closed to the public through November 2026. There is no recreational access at any time to Ohanapecosh Campground while it remains closed.
