Wolf Creek Ski area did exceptionally well this week!

The storm cycle is over.

It’s clear and cold this morning. Temps are mostly in the -10 to 10 range. The coldest is -26 near the upper Piedra River bridge. 🥶

Wolf Creek got 15” of snow in the last 24 hours. That brings their storm total to 59”! The summit depth is finally over 100”.

There is a SPECIAL AVALANCHE ADVISORY in effect for the mountains through the weekend. It will be very easy to trigger large and deadly avalanches.

We’ll see lots of sun, a warming trend, and will be dry this week.

I’ll do a more thorough post later today. It will include a storm summary and updated snowpack.
