Summer is in full swing here in Pagosa Country. Did you know that the Hawk House is one of the closest vacation rentals to not only the Turkey Springs mountain bike trail system, but also to the famous Upper Piedra area of the San Juan National Forest!

A half mile ride through the neighborhood brings you to the miles and miles of cross-country style single-track trails that wander through a mature Ponderosa Pine forest. Start off on the namesake trail, Turkey Springs.

And a quick fifteen minute drive north brings you to the first of over a dozen trailheads that access Colorado's largest Wilderness Area, the Weminuche.. 499,771 acres of protected primitive land.

Snow, snow, snow!

Wolf Creek Ski Area has received 24" in the past two days, bringing the season total to 126" so far!

The NWS has issued another winter storm warning for tomorrow and Christmas Day. Be sure to book the Hawk House for your January ski trip while we still have nights available!

We are booked for Christmas and New Year's, and know our guests are going to love spending their holidays with us.

Wolf Creek Ski Area has received 22" of snow in the past 24 hours, and it's still coming down!

Book your 2017 ski vacation now. We have openings in January and February, but don't wait. The snow is coming down, and we will fill up fast!
